Testia expands its global portfolio with “Maintenance in Operational Condition” (MOC) services, ensuring inspection equipment readiness across industries.

We are proud to announce the official launch of our comprehensive Maintenance in Operational Condition (MOC) service for field and laboratory equipment. This new capability completes our global offering, alongside our existing pillars of training, inspection, engineering, and product development.

Bringing order to complexity

The timing of this launch is symbolic, occurring just days before the 235th anniversary of the introduction of the metre on March 26, 1791 —
which paved the way for modern metrology.

In an aerospace market currently facing supply chain pressures and labor shortages, the readiness of critical inspection equipment has become a strategic imperative. Our new MOC service addresses these challenges by taking full responsibility for the lifecycle management of inspection tools – from acquisition to retirement – ensuring that airlines, MROs and manufacturing companies can focus on their core mission: keeping our industries safe.

A holistic approach to equipment availability

Our MOC offering is designed as a comprehensive solution that covers the entire lifecycle of inspection assets as well as the equipment fleet management. The service leverages our technical expertise to manage:

  • Sourcing & Resale: From advising on and purchasing the most suitable tools according to users needs and applicable specifications, to management of obsolescence when the time comes.
  • Maintenance & Calibration: Performing periodic verifications according to ISO/IEC 17025 standard and preventive maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance and inspection reliability.
  • Fleet Management: Monitoring large inspection tools inventories, with preventive maintenance planning and logistics coordination.
  • After-sales: Providing troubleshooting assistance and corrective maintenance in a dedicated structure.

Proven expertise and infrastructure

While this offering is now available to the global market, it is built on a foundation of deep experience. We have spent 15 years managing our own internal fleet of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment across 18 sites worldwide. The service is now anchored by a dedicated facility in Toulouse, staffed by a team of 20 qualified experts specialized in electronics, equipment manufacturing, logistics and NDT. To further support this central hub and ensure rapid turnaround times for international clients, we leverage our global footprint by also handling periodic verification and calibration directly from our facilities in Spain, Germany, and the APAC region.

“MOC should not be the core business of our customers – it is ours.” says David Rottembourg, CEO of Testia. By outsourcing non-core activities to specialists, airlines, MROs and manufacturing companies can streamline their operations and ensure their highly skilled personnel can concentrate on detecting anomalies and ensuring structural integrity.

Trusted by major industry players

The reliability of our MOC service has already been validated by major contracts. The DMAé (Maintenance Department of the French Air Force) has entrusted us with a 7-year contract to manage 2,200 pieces of equipment. “Testia’s expertise and our partnership have demonstrated their ability to achieve the expected operational performance objectives” stated Laurent Place, Contract Execution Pilot from DMAé.

This launch reinforces our position as a holistic partner for structural integrity, ensuring that training, inspections and inspection tools management meet the highest possible standards to make our industries safe.
