The Smart UE1: The Swiss-army knife of NDT inspectors
Testia launches the new version of its already star-product, the Smart UE1. This wireless, light-weight device (2kg) offers both Ultrasonic testing and Eddy Current testing capabilities. This allows NDT inspectors to travel light-handed with all their tools comprised in a single device.
Numerous applications under one roof
Indeed, the Smart UE1 provides 3 main software: Ultrasonic, Eddy Current and Resonance. In addition, 5 optional modules are available to detect various types of indications such as delaminations, disbondings, fatigue cracks, lack of cladding as well as thickness and coating measurements. Finally, it can also offer remote assistance and be connected to a stand-alone Go/No Go tool: the CladTool.
An essential brick for digital continuity and data traceability
This plurality of applications makes the Smart UE1 a very comprehensive tool, which will save time and efforts to inspectors thanks to its automated analysis and report generation features. It is also a real money saver for companies as it compiles many different tools within only one device.
A tailor-made device for Aerospace
What’s more the Smart UE1 is Aero-specific and was designed especially for Aerospace use. Thanks to its various features, it can either be used by certified NDT inspectors or B1 mechanics (Go/No Go modules). Its touchscreen and guided modules make it very intuitive, and is based on a Windows interface. Moreover, it is already certified and referenced by Airbus for many Aerospace applications.
The Smart UE1 is available for demonstrations all week long on Testia’s booth at the International Paris Air Show.
